9 Mei 2001 trommelde UFO-onderzoeker Steven Greer twintig getuigen bij elkaar in Washington voor een bijeenkomst die de wereld zou veranderen. Daarom had Steven Greer voor de 9^e mei de ballroom van de National Press Club afgehuurd; de grootste zaal in het grootste perscentrum in de hoofdstad van het machtigste land ter wereld.

Disclosure Project

De onthullingen die daar gedaan zouden worden – tot dan verzameld onder de codenaam: Disclosure Project – konden gedurende twee uur gevolgd worden op de nationale televisie en via internet.
Maar het ware doelwit van de persconferentie was het Amerikaanse Congres. Dat zou nu eindelijk eens een hoorzitting moeten organiseren waarin de beste bewijzen voor buitenaards bezoek gehoord moesten worden. Was het Congres eenmaal overtuigd, dan zou de weg openliggen voor de verwezenlijking van Greers politieke agenda: wereldvrede, een einde aan de uitbuiting en milieuvervuiling, welvaart voor iedereen en aansluiting bij het netwerk van intergalactische buurbeschavingen.

Betrouwbare getuigenverklaringen

Net zo belangrijk als die boodschap was wellicht de manier waarop Greer deze naar voren bracht: vrijwel uitsluitend getuigenverklaringen van mensen die korte of lange tijd hoge politieke of militaire functies hebben vervuld. Geen zweverige types, verdacht rappe beroepspraters of doorzichtige oplichters snakkend naar een paar minuten voor het voetlicht, maar gepensioneerde hoge ambtenaren, CIA-mede-werkers en officieren van marine, lucht- en landmacht.
Velen zeiden dat ze hierover gedurende hun actieve jaren bewust hadden gezwegen. In sommige gevallen was ze dat ook met klem aangeraden. Maar nu kon niemand hen nog ergens toe dwingen. Nu zouden ze vertellen wat ze wisten. Of meenden te weten.

Greer beweert over zeventig van dergelijke eersteklasgetuigen of getuigenverklaringen te beschikken, en nog ruim driehonderd andere. Die 9^e mei deden de twintig hun verhaal allemaal binnen de tien minuten en ze sloten ook allemaal af met de mededeling dat ze gaarne bereid waren hun verklaring onder ede voor een Congrescommissie te herhalen.

57 soorten Aliens

Sergeant Clifford Stone bijvoorbeeld vertelde van de vele keren waarbij hij assisteerde bij het wegslepen van UFO-wrakstukken. Hij beweert officiële documenten te hebben gezien waarin 57 verschillende soorten aliens worden beschreven. Al even opmerkelijk was zijn bewering dat hij de beroemde Roswellfilm al in 1969 gezien heeft, dat wil zeggen: de uitgebreide versie waarin naast de dode aliens ook president Truman te zien zou zijn.

Werner von Braun

De wellicht meest interessante verklaring was die van Carol Rosin, raketexpert en ooit woordvoerder van Werner von Braun, het nazi-brein achter het Amerikaanse ruimtevaartprogramma. Rosin onthulde dat von Braun haar in de jaren 1970 waarschuwde voor de militarisering van de ruimtevaart. Braun vreesde dat de militairen zouden aansturen op een uiterst kostbaar wapensysteem om buitenaardsen buiten de aarde te houden.

Star Wars

Volgens Greer bestaat dat systeem al en is het controversiële plan van president Bush voor het opzetten van een afgeslankte versie van Star Wars gewoon de volgende ronde in het verbeteren van dit systeem. Greer is dus een groot tegenstander van de plannen van Bush (‘Aliens tegen Amerikaans raketschild’, schreef NRC Handelsblad op 10 mei boven haar verslagje van de bijeenkomst).

CIA archief en de bibliotheek van het Vaticaan

De meest interessante getuige was Daniel Sheehan, een ‘linkse’ jurist, onder andere verantwoordelijk voor de onthulling van het Iran-contra-schandaal dat president Reagan bijna de das om deed. In 1977 was hij verbonden aan een UFO-onderzoek gestart in opdracht van president Carter, een onderzoek dat door de toenmalige CIA-directeur George Bush (de vader) de nek om werd gedraaid. Die weigerde om de presidentiële Kuifjes toegang te verlenen tot de CIA-archieven.
Sheehan kwam vertellen dat hij in de loop van dat onderzoek voor Carter harde bewijzen in handen kreeg voor het neerhalen van Ufo’s door Amerikaanse militairen. Hij beweerde ook te weten dat er voor ufologen het nodige te vinden was in de bibliotheek van het Vaticaan.

Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence

Steven Greer was ooit arts, maar is nu directeur van CSETI, het Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence. CSETI, opgericht in 1991, is geen sekte onder leiding van goeroe Greer, maar een kleine, toegewijde vriendenclub met uitstekende connecties.

Greer en de zijnen geloven niet alleen in buitenaards bezoek maar ook in een wereldwijde samenzwering gericht op het in de doofpot stoppen en houden van deze revolutionaire onthulling. Een handjevol superrijke olie- en wapenhandelaren voert, in het geheim, oorlog met op aarde neergestreken buitenaardsen, maar die geheime elite probeert ‘ons’ ondertussen dom te houden, in de hoop zo lang mogelijk van de oude mensonwaardige economische orde te kunnen profiteren. Ambassadeurs voor het universum

CSETI wil nieuwe, vreedzame, voor iedereen beschikbare contacten opbouwen met buitenaardse beschavingen. Daar is de organisatie inmiddels ook in geslaagd dat wil zeggen: langs telepathische weg. Haar ‘ambassadeurs voor het universum’ worden opgeleid door middel van mediatiesessies die worden georganiseerd op plaatsen waar regelmatig Ufo’s worden gesignaleerd. Ze moeten de buitenaardsen tijdens die sessies mentaal welkom heten.

Erkende lastpost

Greer is een einzelgänger, en binnen UFO-land een buitenstaander. Omgekeerd heeft hij weinig respect voor het werk van anderen. Nadat de UFO Research Coalition (een overkoepelend orgaan voor Amerikaanse UFO-clubs) een zwaarwichtige Briefing Statement hadden opgesteld voor pers en regering, slaagde Greer erin minstens net zo veel aandacht te trekken met een pure roofdruk van dit document, uitgebracht onder de naam van zijn eigen organisatie. Het jatwerk leverde hem in 1998 de in de UFO-wereld weinig op prijs gestelde UFO Public Nuisance Hall of Fame Award op.

Steven Macon Greer (June 28, 1955) is an American ufologist who founded the Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence (CSETI) and the Disclosure Project, which seeks the disclosure of alleged classified UFO information.
He was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 1955. He claims to have seen an UFO (unidentified flying object) at close range when he was about eight years old, which inspired his interest in ufology.
Greer was trained as a Transcendental Meditation teacher and served as director of a meditation organization. He received a B.S. degree in biology from Appalachian State University in 1982 and an M.D. degree from the James H. Quillen College of Medicine of East Tennessee State University in 1987. Greer received his Virginia medical license in 1989, worked as an emergency room physician, and in 1998 retired as a physician in favor of his ufology activities.

Center for the Study of Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence

Greer founded the Center for the Study of Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence (CSETI) in 1990 to create a diplomatic and research-based initiative to contact extraterrestrial civilizations. The official statements regarding its intentions also included a new category of extraterrestrial encounters, namely CE-5 or ‘close encounters of the fifth kind‘. This was defined by Greer as human initiated contact and/or communication with extraterrestrial life.
CSETI claims to have over 3,000 confirmed reports of UFO sightings by pilots, and over 4,000 proofs of what they describe as landing traces. The organisation utilizes ‘Rapid Mobilisation Investigative Teams‘ with the aim of arriving at landing sites as quickly as possible.
CSETI has defined a protocol for human initiated contact to UFOs using consciousness.

Disclosure Project

In 1993, Greer founded the Disclosure Project, the goal of which is to publicly disclose the government’s alleged knowledge of UFOs, extraterrestrial intelligence, and advanced energy and propulsion systems.
The Disclosure Project was founded in an effort to grant amnesty to government whistle-blowers willing to violate their security oaths by sharing insider knowledge about UFOs. Greer claims to have briefed CIA director James Woolsey at a dinner party, although Woolsey disputes the accuracy of Greer’s claim.
In October 1994, Greer appeared in Larry King’s TV special The UFO Coverup?^[

In 1997, Greer, along with other members of CSETI, including Apollo astronaut Edgar Mitchell, made a presentation at a background briefing for members of Congress.
In May 2001, Greer held a press conference at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. that featured 20 retired Air Force, Federal Aviation Administration and intelligence officers.

Documentaries

In 2013, Greer co-produced Sirius, a documentary detailing his work and hypotheses regarding extraterrestrial life, government cover-ups and close encounters of the fifth kind. The film was directed by Amardeep Kaleka and narrated by Thomas Jane, and covers Greer’s 2006 book Hidden Truth, Forbidden Knowledge.
The movie premiered on April 22, 2013, in Los Angeles, California, and features interviews from former government and military officials. Sirius depicts a six-inch human skeleton known as the Atacama skeleton, and features images and a DNA test of the skeleton. Genetic evidence showed that it was human, with genetic markers found in “indigenous women from the Chilean region of South America“.
The director of the center that did the analysis said, “It’s an interesting medical mystery of an unfortunate human with a series of birth defects that currently […] the genetics of which are not obvious.“

In 2017, Unacknowledged, a crowdfunded documentary featuring Greer was released. It was directed by Michael Mazzola and narrated by Giancarlo Esposito. After debuting on iTunes and digital platforms on May 9, ‘Unacknowledged‘ moved to the number 1 documentary spot on those platforms.

Close Encounters of the Fifth Kind: Contact has Begun was released April 2020. The documentary was directed and written by Michael Mazzola and stars Greer, Daniel Sheehan, Adam Curry and Russel Targ. According to the film, a close encounter of the fifth kind is when a human initiates contact with an extraterrestrial.

The quote above is from the endorsement to Steven M. Greer in Greer’s book “UNACKNOWLEDGED – AN EXPOSÉ OF THE WORLD’S GREATEST SECRET” (published in 2017) and was written by scientist, author, and former Apollo astronaut, Brian O’Leary in 2005.

In the same endorsement O’Leary answers his own question: “ET visitations were not only real, they could assist us in overcoming the human-caused global crisis.“

In this book Greer writes about Unacknowledged Special Access Projects (USAPs), how they operate, what they are hiding―and most of all, WHY. He got the information from his interviews with top-secret witnesses who have (in Greer’s words) “exhibited true courage and patriotism in coming forward and telling the world what is going on in the extreme secret world of UFO-related USAPs“.

Revelations

These revelations underscore a long, sordid history of governmental and media secrecy and the acquisition of technologies such as microelectronics, anti-gravity propulsion and zero point, or “free” energy, from our visitors.
This massive cover-up has been going on for almost six decades, since the UFO crash near Roswell, New Mexico in July 1947, an event which was certainly not caused by balloons, as alleged by the U.S. Air Force.
Such myths are only accepted by the ignorant or the powerful and their subjects.

The long-range atomic bombers (like the ones used to bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki) were stationed in Roswell, the bomb was created in Los Alamos, the first one exploded in Alamagordo, and missiles to deliver future bombs were tested in White Sands―all in New Mexico, a nexus of the military-industrial complex.
Was it just coincidence that the 1947 Roswell UFO crash also happened there?

Majestic 12

The book contains information that has been kept from sitting U.S. presidents, senators, members of congress, heads of state, and the Joint Chiefs of Staff … to name a few. What Greer has learned over the last three decades is that there are two U.S. governments … the government of We the People represented by elected officials, and a shadow government made up of mid-level functionaries whose roots trace back to a black ops organization launched in the 1940s by President Truman.
This group, known back then as MAJESTIC-12, was tasked with keeping the truth from the public regarding the most astounding discovery in the history of the world―UFOs and the existence of Extraterrestrial life.

The thought of UFOs and extraterrestrials being real is difficult for most of us to take seriously. Greer’s own encounter

Book objectives

Greer has three specific objectives in presenting this information to the public:

• First, to provide evidence which supports a timetable of undisclosed events that led to the biggest cover-up in the annals of human civilization.
• Second, our witnesses will reveal how a scientific endeavor kept out of the public eye during the height of the Cold War was hijacked by the Military Industrial Complex.

Nikola Tesla and J.P. Morgan

You may be thinking … ah, come on now; I know this can’t be true. Why would anyone deny a non-polluting free energy source that can do so much good for the world?
In a word: Power―of which money is only a symbol.
In 1901, when Nikola Tesla¹ had figured out how to tap into the zero point-energy field―a discovery that would have made power plants obsolete. J.P. Morgan² didn’t like the idea of free energy, having just invested heavily in the copper wire that was required in electrical wiring. So, the industrialist got his cronies in Washington, D.C. to stop Tesla and had them confiscate all his work.

Stagnated growth or…

A century later, our growth has stagnated, our vehicles are still saddled with gasoline-dependent combustion engines, the poles are melting, cancer runs rampant from our needless exposure to the rising amount of toxins being pumped every day into our environment, and 80% of the world’s population lives in abject poverty.

Greer is sure we can change all that: “Zero-point-energy and anti-gravity propulsion systems already exist. This book will tell you exactly where they are and how we can get them. The extraterrestrials want us to succeed―as the evidence will show, they are here as allies and not adversaries. However, they have made it quite clear that the entry ticket for human civilization to become interplanetary is, first and foremost, to be civilized, to live together peacefully, to renounce weapons of mass destruction, and to go out into space free of weapons systems with a consciousness of universal peace.“

DNI Report, June 25^th 2021

On the 25^th of June 2021, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) published their “Preliminary Assessment: Unidentified Aerial Phenomena”. It is (in their words): “an intelligence assessment of the threat posed by unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) and the progress the Department of Defense Unidentified Aerial
Phenomena Task Force (UAPTF) has made in understanding this threat.”
In laymen terms, we would say unidentified flying objects (UFO) instead of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP).

The dataset described in this DNI report was limited to U.S. Government reporting of incidents occurring from November 2004 to March 2021.

Purpose

The purpose is to provide “an overview for policymakers of the challenges associated with characterizing the potential threat posed by UAP while also providing a means to develop relevant processes, policies, technologies, and training for the U.S. military and other U.S. Government (USG) personnel if and when they encounter UAP, so as to enhance the Intelligence Community’s (IC) ability to understand the threat.”

Challenges

There were some data collection challeges, like:

• “Narratives from aviators in the operational community, and analysts from the military and IC, describe disparagement, associated with observing UAP, or attempting to discuss it with colleagues.
• The sensors mounted on U.S. military platforms are typically designed to fulfill specific missions. A|s a result, those sensors are not generally suited for identifying UAP.“

DNI conclusions

Their conclusions are as follows:

• “The limited amount of high-quality reporting on unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) hampers our ability to draw firm conclusions about the nature or intent of UAP.”
• However: “In a limited number of incidents, UAP reportedly appeared to exhibit unusual flight characteristics. These observations could be the result of sensor errors, spoofing, or observer misperception and require additional rigorous analysis.”
• But: “UAP clearly pose a safety of flight issue and may pose a challenge to U.S. national security.”
• And: “a handful of UAP appear to demonstrate advanced technology. Some UAP appeared to remain stationary in winds aloft, move against the wind, maneuver abruptly, or move at considerable speed, without discernable means of propulsion.”

Greer vs DNI

One observation in the report complies (at least for me) with Greer’s observation on the Roswell crash (see above): “Most reports described UAP as objects that interrupted pre-planned training or other military activity.”

Of course Greer has his own thoughts about the report. He sees one truth and three lies:

One thruth

The repoprt acknowledges that UFOs are real, and not simply misperceptions of other known craft or phenomenon.

Three lies

1. that we do not know what the UFOs are;
2. that the US does not have any aircraft or technologies that can perform in the manner the UAPs do;
3. that the UAPs are a threat to “national security”.

This one truth and these three lies are what Greer’s book is all about!
